NGLI First Beauty Contact-Bo No. 2, Bo, Sierra Leone
Welcome! No Greater Love, International (NGLI) was birthed from a Summer Mission’s trip in 2007. A small team of faculty an students of North Central University left Minneapolis, Minnesota empty-handed and returned with 11.8 acres of land and a vision from the Lord for Sierra Leone. Rev. Dr. Richard Shaka and wife Dr. Farella Shaka, natives of Sierra Leone, had led the charge to establish the initiatives. Teams from America unite with teams in Sierra Leone to bring the Kingdom of God to West Africa, according to the Lord's will. Our Mission ______________________ The Scripture says: "Out of the place of prayer flows justice and righteousness for the nations." That is why our primary calling is to pray and raise up intercessors from the nation of Sierra Leone. All of our efforts fall under this umbrella. The mission of NGLI, therefore, is: to holistically reach the underprivileged, defenseless, and impoverished children and youths with in Sierra Leone and around the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in its fullest spiritual and social forms. We do this through our three-fold objective of community development: going mission and doing evangelism; establishing youth centers, and building children's homes everywhere necessary and possible without fear or favor. The Lord being our guide! Our motto is: "Save All." ________________ WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?

Breaking NewsWe are just a few short steps away from launching the first children's home in Bo! Thanks to our Generous Contributors! The Summer Team (ST) was able to accomplish a great amount of tasks while on the grounds in Sierra Leone in July 2010. The home has been done and set. Each room is furnished with Bunk Beds with dressers, desks, and chairs. The house is clean and the walls are painted. The paperwork for government has been submitted and now only waiting for final approval from the Bo City Council. Please continue to pray for God's favor so we can speedily receive the authority to nurture vulnerable children in a family-like setting. GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS In February 2013, the Ministry of Social Welfare approved and allowed NGLI to accommodate its first child, Agnes. She is nine years old. NGLI learned that Agnes had lost her mother during the ten-year protracted civil conflict in Sierra Leone. The war also left her father incapacitated, unable to provide for her basic needs including formal education. We are happy for Agnes and thankful to the Lord for giving NGLI the opportunity to help and care for Agnes. If you would like to adopt Agnes with your regular prayer and financial support, please contact NGLI at: www. ngli.org or email: drshaka.ngli@mail.com or call: 612-251-4744. Please continue to pray for NGLI ministry in Sierra Leone and around the world. Think NGLI! NEW GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS ON ORPHANAGES IN SIERRA LEONE The government of Sierra Leone has now decreed that they should no longer be referred to as orphanages but "Interim Care Centers" (ICC). Therefore, NGLI has changed the name of its children's home in Sierra Leone. Now it is officially called "Betty Savage Memorial Interim Care Center" (BSMICC). THANKS A MILLION! |
